Meet Our Coaches
Jessica Aspiras discovered her drive for athleticism at the early age of 9 when she joined a track and field program through her community recreation center, but she didn't discover her true inner athlete until 20 years later when she joined Maine Roller Derby in 2008. She became an all-star team Captain and made the cut for the inaugural World Cup Team USA. She renewed her passion for fitness after getting in the best shape of her life through the sport and cross-training.
Jessica recently left a successful 15-year career in financial services to pursue her true passion - fitness and wellness. She is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and holds a certificate in Sports Nutrition. She specializes in strength training, pre- and post-natal fitness, and sports nutrition.
She is excited to continue her journey in lifestyle wellness by working with others to achieve their fitness goals through customized, thoughtful, and FUN training sessions, open communication, and attainable goal setting.
I grew up living in an RV with my parents and we traveled the country constantly changing location. This resulted in me always switching schools, so I couldn't play any team sports. This is when I decided to take Parkour and Freerunning seriously, as it is something I could practice by myself, and changing locations would always bring me to some new structure, meaning my court was never the same. Now, with eight years of experience, my passion is to introduce as many people to the discipline as I can, resulting in the growth of our awesome community.
Being a certified instructor through the World Freerunning and Parkour Federation, I have the knowledge necessary to teach my skills to you safely and effectively. If you are looking to become more familiar with the capabilities of your body, want to learn how to move more efficiently and be a part of an ever-growing worldwide community, parkour just may be for you too.
Ed is a seasoned Parkour practitioner and has instructed at high-caliber facilities such as Regal Gymnastics Academy in Essex, Vermont, and at Green Mountain Training Center in Williston, Vermont, of whom had a leading role in the construction of Vermont's first dedicated Parkour training space. With his experience training in Europe with Parkour Generations, Ed has an analytical eye for biomechanics, and is well versed in the fundamentals of the discipline. He has fostered the development of many practical and well-rounded athletes, showing them the path toward not only being strong, but also useful and playful, of which is the essence of Parkour as dictated by the discipline's founders.
Tim has been training in the martial arts since age 10 and has studied and taught Kempo, Brazilian Capoeira and Chinese Kung Fu. Keeping classes fun, yet challenging makes for an invigorating environment that will keep you excited to get to class. Taking a holistic approach to training Tim encourages all aspects of physical fitness from the sciences of bio-mechanics and anatomy to psychological development and the more esoteric practices of meditation and energy flow.
Having dreamed of building a "ninja obstacle course" from a young age, Tim is literally living his dream and making waves in the fitness and recreation industry in Maine. His motivation for this project is born from a need to help people see health and fitness from a completely different perspective.
